Mathematics & Statistics PLD
This PLD, for the refreshed Mathematics and Statistics Learning Area for Years 9–10, aims to strengthen teachers’ understanding of the learning area, deepen their pedagogical content knowledge, and provide practical examples of evidence-informed teaching practises.
Who it's for
This PLD is available to teachers working in Phase 4 of the curriculum in state and state integrated schools. Heads of department, senior leadership and staff involved in mathematics & statistics are welcome to attend. However, the primary focus of this PLD is for teachers of Year 9 and 10 students, including those who teach mathematics alongside another subject specialisation.
Funding overview
Teacher release funding will be provided for workshop attendees. This contribution will be made directly to schools by the end of the term following the workshop.
What it includes
PLD will be delivered by Ministry approved facilitators.

Webinars
One-hour online sessions will be available from Term 1. Details on session dates, times and links will be published on Maths PLD Y9 - 10 webinars. Recordings will be made available later in the year for asynchronous access.
